Beloved brewery, Moon Dog Brewing, has opened a dreamy pop-up venue at Arts Centre Melbourne. Located in front of the iconic Spire, this outdoor bar features plenty of Moon Dog classics, so you can grab a drink, relax under shady palm trees and bask in the glow of summer. There’s also smoky barbeque boxes, and DJs on select nights. Dubbed Summer Paradiso, this pop-up oasis opens today at 6pm, and will stay in town until April.
Summer Paradiso by Moon Dog Brewing
This pop-up bar aims to be a meeting point for visitors over the warmer months. Located on the Arts Centre Melbourne forecourt, Summer Paradiso is in a central spot for events at the Arts Centre, Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Australian Open and more.
Cool down this summer with plenty of drinks on tap, including Moon Dog Old Mate Pale Ale. There’s also cans, like Jon Pom Jovi Pomegranate Sour Ale and Orange zZap! Orange Sherbet Ale. Try some specialty options, like Barrel Aged Golden Strong Ale and Tennessee Whisky Barrel Aged Smoky Stout.
Of course, beer isn’t the only option available. Go a little sweeter with a Moon Dog Cooler Cocktail Spritz, in either blood orange, finger lime & agave, or passionfruit, yellow peach & yuzu. Feel refreshed with a Fizzer Tropical Crush slushie with cranberry. Sip on wine, enjoy seltzers and ciders, and enjoy non-alcoholic options like lemonade and Heaps Normal XPA.
Moon Dog have teamed up with Q Barbeque for some delicious summer bites. The custom menu features a range of platters, burgers, bar snacks and sides from the food truck. There’s four tasty smoked BBQ boxes to choose from:
- Smoked brisket with wild-pepper rub ($27)
- Pork ribs with spicy gochujang BBQ glaze & red Sichuan rub ($29)
- Beef short ribs with black arabica rub & caramel BBQ ($29)
- Pulled pork shoulder with Q-hog rub ($26)
There’s also the Q-Platters, an American BBQ-style feast that can be ordered to share with friends or enjoyed alone. Choose between options like 16-hour wood fire smoked brisket, beef short rib on the bone, a rack of pork ribs, or the vegan option featuring Potaco with falafel.
If you’re not that hungry, there’s a snack menu with classic favourites like fried chicken, buffalo wings and nachos.
On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, there will be local DJs spinning some vibey summer tunes. SoundBox, a pop-up live audio studio, will also be in the forecourt for 13 days, taking listeners behind the scenes of the music industry and playing their own curated tracks.
Walk-ins to Summer Paradiso are welcome. Bookings for groups over 20 can be made at firstname.lastname@example.org.
