Gather around shopaholics, The Big Design Market is returning to Melbourne. Make a beeline for the Royal Exhibition Building and find an assortment of gift ideas, including ethically-made ceramics, jewellery, homewares, clothing and more. On top of that, the market will also feature plenty of delicious food and drink, a pop-up fashion show, a creative play space for kids and more. The Big Design Market will have over 280 independent designers from Australia, as well as over 80 food and drink brands. It’s all happening from Friday November 28 to Sunday November 30.

The Big Design Market
Arrive early and get your hands on their exclusive Designer Showbags. These popular bags feature $150 worth of products from exhibitors, and cost just $25. There will be a different selection of show bags available each day for purchase at the door. These bags typically sell out within the first hour, so if you’re keen, you better hurry!
Then, spruce up your wardrobe by browsing through the range of sustainable clothes and accessories. Find plenty of homewares and gift ideas, like ceramics, wall art, botanical skincare, candles and more. You’ll also find plenty of gourmet packaged foods to take home, such as black truffle products, matcha powder, artisanal cheese and bottled cocktails.

With over 280 stalls to rummage through, you’re bound to work up an appetite. Feast on savoury options like Banh Mi from Ca Com, Italian dishes from Ugo Burrata Bar, pastries from Wonder Pies, bao from Wonderbao and more. For something sweet, you’ll find ice cream from Billy Van Creamy, Portuguese tarts from Casa Nata, plant-based desserts from GingerSnap patisserie and cannoli from Cannoleria.
Axil Coffee Roasters and Pizzini Wines will be serving up drinks all weekend, including a free Brachetto Ginger Spritz from Pizzini on Friday from 4pm to 6pm.

More fun stuff
On Friday at 6pm, there will also be a pop-up fashion runway, showcasing the latest items from fashion labels at the market. See ten models strut their stuff in pieces from Made for a Goddess, Hyph-N, The Only Label and more.
Meanwhile, the kids will have plenty of fun in a specially designed kids area by Emma Morgan. They can chill out with some colouring in sheets of Emma’s artwork.
