Looking for a new date activity, or a fun outing with friends and family? Why don’t you check out this new coastal activity park in Wyndham Harbour? At just a 30 minute drive from Melbourne CBD, The Elements features an 18-hole mini golf course, stunning nature walks, plenty of picturesque picnic spots, woodfired pizza and coffee.
The Elements Coastal Activity Park in Wyndham Harbour
This coastal park offers you a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. The Elements is set on a stretch of coastline that has, up until now, remained largely undiscovered.
Inspired by nature, as well as the rich farming and maritime history of Werribee and its surrounding areas, the foundations of this park were made from materials with a connection to the community. This includes reclaimed wood from the nearby marina, and 120-year-old railway sleepers reused from the old Geelong rail. There’s also cosy natural habitats, carefully built for the native bird and bat communities. The landscape was created with sustainability in mind. Native and indigenous flora and grasses are used to encourage biodiversity, and the green of the mini-golf course requires no watering.
“When it comes to The Elements, we wanted to ensure we respected this stunning part of the coast and were as eco-conscious as possible with our practices, design and offering,” said Eamon Walmsley, Director at Wyndham Harbour. “We wanted to touch the earth lightly when it came to the natural landscape, and have used native plants, grasses and reclaimed materials where possible to amplify the area’s natural beauty, rather than change it completely.”
