Melbourne is getting its first taste of carnival theatrics as ‘COME ALIVE!’ The Greatest Showman Circus Spectacular prepares to roll into the Caulfield Racecourse next summer.
The show, a full‑scale circus spectacular built inside the racecourse, will run from 25th February 2027, with extended dates already locked in ahead of opening night due to strong early interest.
The Greatest Show From The Moment You Arrive
Fans will step into an immersive world about an hour before curtain. The pre‑show experience spills out across the venue with stroll‑through performances, character interactions and food and drink, turning the arrival into part of the story.
Inside, the show itself cranks up the energy with acrobats, aerial artists and a full live band blasting reimagined versions of The Greatest Showman hits like This Is Me and A Million Dreams.
The production marks Australia’s first stop on the show’s global rollout, following a sell‑out run in London that local promoters have leaned on to sell it as a must‑see event.
Led by Drama Desk Award‑winner Simon Hammerstein, the creative team leans heavily on big‑name collaborators: Emmy‑nominated lighting designer Adam Bassett, choreographers Jerry Reeve and Lukas McFarlane and costume designer Susan Kulkarni.
Additionally, David Hutchinson, CEO of The Path Entertainment Group, says Australian families are already driving demand.
“We are absolutely delighted by the enthusiasm Australian audiences have shown for ‘COME ALIVE!’ with strong opening ticket sales nationally,” Hutchinson said.
Meanwhile, Showpath Entertainment is producing the Australian run in partnership with Outside The Box Amusements and TSG Entertainment, positioning the show as a headline family event for Melbourne’s summer calendar.
Moreover, Pre‑sale tickets are on sale now via comealiveshow.com.au, with general public sales opening Thursday, 5th March.
