Thee Sacred Souls stand out for their Chicano soul style that always exudes that laid-back West Coast vibe. Now, they’re finally returning to Melbourne on 31 May, bringing a deep homage to decades of soul music. This highly anticipated performance at Arts Centre Melbourne’s Hamer Hall is part of the ‘Constellation Tour’ that follows the release of their 2024 sophomore album, Got A Story To Tell.
Thee Sacred Souls: The Sweet ’60s Soul Revival at Hamer Hall

Formed in San Diego by Josh Lane (vocals), Sal Samano (bassist) and Alex Garcia (drummer), the trio came together in 2019, inspired by the sweet swing of the Souldies. But it was in 2022 when Thee Sacred Souls gained massive popularity on TikTok with their lead single “Can I Call You Rose?” and their fabulous Tiny Desk concert went viral. The San Diego band’s groovy songs were also praised on Australian independent and community radio like FBi Radio and Triple J, fueling their “cult favourite” status in the region.
This autumn, their growing legion of fans are finally getting a chance to experience their sweet soul revival in the flesh on 31 May, 2026 at Art Centre Melbourne’s Hamer Hall. Doors open at 6:00 pm but the band comes on at 7:30 pm. Pre-sale has just started today and tickets start at $89.90.
If you can’t see them in Melbourne, following this Hamer Hall performance, Thee Sacred Souls will play the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall next on Tuesday, 2 June as part of Vivid LIVE.
