2. Attend Swiftposium Presents: Taylor Swift, Feminism and the Music Industry
Scholars from universities across Australia and New Zealand will discuss Taylor Swift and her influence on contemporary life at the hybrid academic conference, Swiftposium. While this conference isn’t open to the public, you can get a taste of the event at a special panel discussion in Fed Square. Listen to a group of experts examine Swift’s influence as a feminist, artist and businesswoman. 3. Have fun with Pre-Show Parties at Riverland Bar
Get pumped up for the concert with some Eras Pre-Show Parties at Riverland Bar. The venue will non-stop Taylor Swift from 4pm to 8pm, and have plenty of food and themed cocktails for you to try. Sip on drinks like Reputation, Lover and Red, and feast on favourite foods like chicken tenders and margarita pizza. Looking for something that’s utterly dreamy? Listen to a string quartet bring your favourite tunes to life, surrounded by flickering lights, in Candlelight: A Tribute to Taylor Swift. Songs on the setlist include Love Story, You Belong With Me and Invisible String. There will be a performance at Collingwood Town Hall on February 24, and another show at Fitzroy Town Hall on March 14.
