It feels like all of Victoria is lighting up with some winter magic. Find enchantment at Winter Wonderlights in Ballarat, Gumbuya Dreaming at Gumbuya World, Moama Lights in Echuca, and soon, Electric Wonderland in Bendigo. This charming regional city will light up with lasers, fairy lights and more in Rosalind Park, and it will also be home to a pop-up ice skating rink in Hargreaves Mall. Check it out from Friday June 28 to Sunday July 14.
Electric Wonderland in Bendigo
The beautiful Rosalind Park will come alive with Bendigo’s winter tradition, Electric Wonderland. Explore the park and discover immersive light installations, interactive exhibits and swirling projections. Celebrate the Lunar Year of the Dragon, admire a luminous mushroom garden, have fun with musical stepping stones, and check out interactive pathways and laser lights. Take in the twinkle of thousands of fairy lights, and admire a 40m replica of Bendigo’s Sacred Heart Cathedral.
“Over several years, Electric Wonderland has developed into a must-see attraction and has become a beacon for winter fun during the school holidays,” said Glenn Harvey, Tourism Marketing Manager – Bendigo Tourism. “It’s wonderful to see it reimagined each year and I can’t wait to see how organisers present another fantastic show for our community.”
Election Wonderland will run from 6pm to 9pm from Sunday to Thursday, and 6pm to 10pm on Friday and Saturday.

Ice skating
After ambling through the park, put on some skates and go gliding around an ice skating rink from Stars on Ice. This outdoor experience will be located in the middle of Hargreaves Mall. There’s ice skates available for all sizes, as well as adorable push-along penguins for the little ones.
Skate sessions run for 45 minutes, giving you plenty of time to build up your confidence and skills. The rink will be open daily from 10am to 9pm. Ice skating costs $24 for adults, and this includes the price of skate hire. More info here.
