Wander the orchard and enjoy this floral paradise.
Spring is just around the corner. The days are getting a little longer and warmer and soon, the flowers will be in bloom. Take in the beauty of the season by going to the Cherry Hill Blossom Festival. You’ll feel transported to Japan as you explore the orchard and see the blossoming cherry trees. This festival will run from September 18 to October 3.
Cherry Blossom Festival
The Cherry Blossom Festival is a great day out for families, friends and couples. This festival feels even more special, because the trees are only in full bloom for two weeks a year. There’ll be lots of things to keep you occupied, like live music, food trucks, lawn games and delicious cherry ice cream.
If you’d like to take things up a notch, why don’t you add a posh picnic to your day? Lounge under the cherry blossom trees in your own private row. Nibble on a gourmet bites, sweets and a grazing platter of charcuterie, cheese and antipasto. Then, wash it down with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There is a four person minimum for the picnic and each picnic is customisable to suit the size and needs of the group. The picnic is $125 per person.
If you’d prefer to be a little more hands-on, there are workshops available too. Sharpen your skills with a photography walking tour, become a fairy princess with a flower crown workshop, learn all about bees or decorate your phone case with dried flowers.
Escape to Japan by adding on a premium sushi box from UMINONO. They’ve created two specially curated boxes just for this Cherry Blossom Festival. Splurge on the Chef’s Pick Share Box for $80, which features 8 sashimi, 8 nigiri, 8 salmon maki and 8 vegetarian maki. Or, try out the Veggie Sushi Box for $35 and feast on 16 vegetarian maki.
If you want to really elevate your experience, book a Blossom and Ballooning package. Start your day in a hot air balloon and take in the sunrise over the beautiful Yarra Valley. Then, head to the Cherry Blossom Festival afterwards.
The Cherry Blossom Festival will run from September 18 to October 3.
General admission tickets start at $7 for children and $12.50 for adults. Meanwhile, the picnic, sushi boxes, workshops and hot air balloon experiences are optional extras.
