From shimmering light shows to dazzling decorations, here are our recommendations on the best places to find Christmas trees in Melbourne.
1. Fed Square
Start your Christmas journey in the heart of Melbourne at Fed Square. This destination has transformed into ‘Christmas Square’ for the festive season, complete with a dazzling 16-metre tall LED tree. This towering triumph is one of the most iconic Christmas trees in Melbourne. Be sure to take plenty of photos and stick around after dark, because every evening, from 9pm until 11pm on the hour, the Christmas tree will shine with a fabulous sound and light display.

This historic building from the 1890s is a sight to behold on any normal day, with its marble floorings, Italian baroque dome and exquisite arches. But, at Christmas time, the chamber within this building becomes even more radiant, with a towering Christmas tree decked out in red and gold.
3. QV Melbourne
While you’re shopping or grabbing a bite to eat at QV Melbourne, be sure to snap a photo in front of the enchanting Christmas tree! This 50ft tree is decked out in 16,000 glimmering LED lights, programmed with a curated art and colour display.
From Friday November 25 to Friday December 23, QV will also have a pop-up entertainment program in front of the tree. Enjoy live music sets, from the sounds of sax to thrilling beats, from some of Melbourne’s leading musicians and DJs. Check out the music program here.
4. Melbourne Central
Meet your friends under the clock at Melbourne Central, and admire the towering Bricksmas Tree. This creative LEGO Christmas tree weighs over 550 kilos, and features 85,657 LEGO bricks. It took over 467 hours to put together, and was created by the Brickman team for the LEGO Masters Christmas special. Find it in Shot Tower Square on Level 1 from now until December 28.

Carlton’s Argyle Square will soon come alive with a fabulous Christmas Roller Rink. And while you roll your way around the pop-up rink, admire the giant purple Christmas tree. This 12-metre tree will be surrounded by decorations, including present boxes and a glittering reindeer archway. It will be the perfect place to relax with a picnic after your roller skating adventure.

6. Adventure Park
This fun theme park in Geelong is lighting up for the Christmas Festival of Lights. Bask in the glow of 3 million lights and 1000 stunning light installations. Among them, you’ll certainly find sparkling Christmas trees that will take your breath away.
The festival is on from now until Christmas Eve, from 6pm to 10:30pm, and from December 26 to January 1, from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. Learn more here.
