After delighting us with their Winter Night Market, and their Fringe Flavours Night Market, Queen Vic Market is getting us ready for summertime. And what better way to do that, than with their iconic Summer Night Market? Unwind over the long evenings by market browsing, cocktail sipping and eating some delicious street food. This season, there’s over 45 food traders and food trucks to look forward to, as well as over 60 specialty traders to discover. It starts on Wednesday November 20, and will continue on until March 12, 2025.
Summer Night Market
Over the hotter months, the market will transform into a vibrant and buzzing space on Wednesday nights. The season will kick off with Christmas festivities for the month of December. From 5pm, look out for Santa and his elf as they roam through the market, spreading Christmas cheer and posing for photos. On Queen Street, you’ll find a towering Christmas tree, and every hour, on the hour, there will be magical, falling snow.
After that, you can still look forward to a weekly line-up of live music, roving entertainment and pop-up activities. Expect fire dancers, large-scale beach balls, sunset yoga sessions and more.
Browse through the market and find unique treasures from stalls, like an on-the-spot caricature drawing, scented candles or an original origami print.
Food and drink
Look forward to flavours from all around the world, including Europe, Africa, America, Asia and more. Feast on barbecue, okonomiyaki, jollof, meatball subs, artisan pasta and more. There will also be dreamy desserts like brownie gelato sandwiches, Portuguese custard tarts and tanghulu skewers.
Quench your thirst on those hot summer nights with a drink from the bar. Fun cocktails include the Watermelon Mojito Slushie from the ‘Happiness is Mojito’ Bar and the Milo Dinosaur from the Beach Bar. Margarita Station will be there, serving up fun flavours like Cadillac, Blood Orange, Pineapple and Jalapeño. There will also be a Schweppes Caravan on Queen Street serving up Schweppes cocktails. Otherwise, there’s craft beer from Brick Lane, wines from Rewine and refreshing flavours from Bella Spritz, like Limoncello and Grapefruit.
If you don’t feel like searching for a seat, you can also book a table at the Singapore Airlines ‘Taste and Travel’ private seating section. Tables can be booked for two, four or six people, and cost $10 per person.
The market will run every Wednesday from November 20 to March 12, except for December 25 and January 1. It will start at 5pm and end at 10pm.
There’s no entry fee involved, so just rock up hungry and ready for a good time.
