Dramatic and dazzling life-size floral installations will soon bloom into existence at Emporium. In this showcase of local talent, 13 floral installations will amaze and inspire as part of Fleurs de Villes ROSÉ. See couture mannequins, all dolled up in the colour pink, at Emporium from February 18 to 27.
Fleurs de Villes
Known as “Floral Disruptors”, Fleurs de Villes presents floral art in unique and accessible ways around the world. Since their launch in 2015, they’ve created over 43 pop-up flower shows in four countries and over 21 cities. And now, they’re coming to Australia for the first time, straight from Seattle, to create a dreamy trail of floral installations. All of these displays will be inspired by the colour pink, in support of breast cancer awareness and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Over ten days, this flowery display will feature the works of leading local florists. Their creative works will be inspired by Emporium, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, rooftop bees and much more.
Participating florists include:
- Deco Green Concepts
- Dope Florals
- Flowers Alley
- Florals by Pemberley of Malmsbury
- Flowers by Varu
- Just Peachy Floral Events
- Grown Florists
- Mattea Davies
- Monstera Flowers
- Petal and Sage
- Thrive Flowers & Events
- Victoria Whitelaw Beautiful Flowers
“As the world’s only global flower show brand, we are delighted to make our first stop in the southern hemisphere at Emporium Melbourne – supporting local florists and the National Breast Cancer Foundation,” said Fleurs de Villes Founder Karen Marshall. “The flora and fauna in Australia is world-renowned, and we can’t wait to share what our Melbourne-based florists create with the world.”
This will be a free and self-guided exhibit, so anyone in the public can come in and admire these pink creations.
Supporting local florists and the National Breast Cancer Foundation
Visitors are welcome to donate to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, using QR codes at each installation. Visitors will also be able to vote on their favourite mannequin and show their support for local florists around Melbourne.
“At the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), our mission is to reach Zero Deaths from breast cancer by funding world-class breast cancer research,” said acting CEO Moana Wood. “As we are 100 per cent community funded, we rely on the support of corporate partners like Fleurs de Villes (and their stunning floral show) to reach our goal.”

On top of hosting Fleurs de Villes, Emporium is also doing its part in protecting the bees that help enrich our ecosystem and support our beautiful flowers. On the rooftop, there is an urban bee farm that houses 650, 000 bees. This project by Rooftop Honey addresses issues of sustainability and raises awareness about the importance of bees. There are currently 13 hives on Emporium’s rooftop, and the bees create delicious honey each year.Learn more about it here.
