For one day only, all Funlab venues will have $5 deals to help you have a Day of Fun. All the profits will go towards headspace, a foundation that supports the mental health of young people. Sing some karaoke, play laser tag or go bowling on the cheap, at 14 venues around Melbourne. Funlab’s annual Day of Fun will take place on Tuesday September 6. Bookings are available now.
Day of Fun by Funlab
Whether your want to connect with your mates or just destress after work, you’ll be sure to have a good time at any of the Funlab venues, including Holey Moley, Strike Bowling and Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq. And you’ll have an even better time, knowing that your money will go towards supporting young people.
Funlab CEO Michael Schreiber is hoping to put the “fun” back in fundraising. They’re aiming to hit their biggest goal yet – $250, 000 for headspace.
“Partnering with headspace is a really important initiative for everyone in our Funlab team,” said Schreiber. “We have young people coming through our doors everyday – both team members and guests – so this is an opportunity for us to not only raise funds for a very important charity, but to support youth mental health, while providing a fun experience for friends and families.”
All venues throughout Australia will be decked out in headspace green. On top of the popular activities at Funlab, there will also be entertainment and face painting on the day. If you can’t make it to any of the venues, but you’d still like to donate, there will be a telethon hosted in Funlab’s support office in Melbourne.
Over the past six years, Funlab has helped raise over half a million dollars for headspace. “This year’s funds will go towards expanding our digital mental health program, which supported more than 12,000 young people and family members last year – a number we expect to grow by 30 per cent,” said headspace CEO Jason Trethowan.
Bookings are essential in order to secure an activity at most venues on September 6. However, Archie Brothers and B.Lucky & Sons will remain open for walk-ins only.
