After lighting up the city last year, the famed Glitch Festival is heading back to Melbourne for one explosive night—and this time, they’re tempting us with an even deeper dive into forward-thinking electronic music. On Saturday, 18th April 2026, the renowned Maltese festival takes over PICA with Untitled Group, transforming the space into an all-night spectacle of pounding bassline, immersive production and cutting-edge performances.
Glitch‘s debut left a Melbourne-sized mark, with its intoxicating bass-heavy house and boundary-pushing sounds. Now, their return offers another chance to experience the underground edge and prove exactly why Glitch ranks among the world’s most respected electronic festivals, earning back-to-back nods in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Festivals.
What’s Spinnin’ At Glitch
This year’s Melbourne lineup further enhances the festival’s mission to fuse worldwide chart-toppers with homegrown innovators. Leading the charge, Colombian-born, Berlin-based Funk Tribu brings his signature trance-tinged club euphoria to the stage, while MIJA (USA) locks in with a bass-laced set built to move bodies deep into the night. Meanwhile, Germany’s Lammer weaves together techno, house and breakbeat in a genre-bending journey, and Melbourne’s own DJ AYA and Mikalah Watego rep the local scene with thumping, melodic sets that balance warmth with intensity. Finally, Upper90 rounds it out, delivering a fast-paced, rave-ready style that guarantees a wild closing stretch.
Born in Malta and celebrated across Europe, Glitch has become synonymous with experimental programming and atmospheric stage design. They have hosted icons like Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, Honey Dijon and Carl Craig, cementing its reputation as the kind of festival that leaves a lasting imprint on every dancefloor it touches.
