Australia’s oldest bathhouse has reopened to the public after a massive makeover. Head to Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa and lose yourself in the tranquil mineral waters. Along with bathing, you can also explore a brand-new spa treatment menu, try a new Apothecary experience, relax in 23 luxe villas and much, much more. This dreamy wellness destination is now open for you to enjoy.

Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa
This bathhouse first opened in 1895, and has welcomed visitors for 130 years. To mark the occasion, Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa has had a refresh. The renovation included upgrades to the change rooms, new tiling, lighting, fittings and fixtures, ceiling restoration and a new audio system for more soothing soundtracks.

Escape from your everyday worries and lose yourself in one of the five new private bathing areas. Soak in the mineral-rich water and choose either a soft milk blend, a magnesium bath, a botanical soak or a personalised blend of your choice, with mineral salts, dried botanicals and essential oils.
If you’re not after a private experience, you can go into the classic Bathhouse for social bathing. Take in views of the Spring Creek banks outside, while relaxing in either the main pool or the spa pool with jets. Otherwise, visit the Sanctuary more mineral bathing, as well as a cold plunge, a salt therapy pool, a mineral hammam and more. The Sanctuary is available to guests aged 16 and above.

On the curated spa treatment menu, you’ll find experiences like four new body rituals and four bespoke facials. For more relaxation, visit the renovated private steam room. Blend your own custom body scrub in the Apothecary, then unwind in a self-guided private steam experience. You can also pamper yourself with a massage.
If you’d like to truly get away from it all, stay overnight in one of 23 villas. Accommodation packages include private bathing, an in-room pamper pack, either Devonshire tea or a tasting platter at the cafe and more.
Other things to do

When you’re not unwinding inside, visit the Edwardian Pavilion Cafe outside, and graze on a variety of sweet and savoury treats. Then, stretch your legs on one of the bushwalks around the property, and have a sip of mineral water from one of the springs nearby.
Then, drive five minutes down to road to visit Daylesford and have fun with boutique shops, lakeside walks and more.
