The Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne has been the home of some incredible seasonal events, including Lightscape in winter and Moonlight Cinema in summer. And soon, the lawns of the Observatory Precinct will transform into a lively outdoor concert space. Get ready for Live At The Gardens, an outdoor music experience by Roundhouse Entertainment. Live At The Gardens will run over two weekends this November.
Live At The Gardens
Presented by the same team behind a day on the green, this picturesque event will be the perfect place for music lovers. Listen to live music under the stars, surrounded by the lush, natural surrounds of the gardens. The concert will welcome up to 5,000 fans. Alongside the music, this gig will also offer a variety of delicious local food and drink.
“We are thrilled to launch Live At The Gardens, a one-of-a-kind music festival, creating an experience that celebrates music, nature and community,” said Roundhouse Entertainment Director Michael Newton.
Watch ARIA Award winner Matt Corby perform live with his band. Matt Corby has nearly 1.5 million Spotify listeners each month, and his most recent release, Everything’s Fine, was his third consecutive ARIA Top 10 album.
He will be joined on stage by indie trio Middle Kids. Their debut album, Lost Friends, was Triple J’s Australian Album of the Year. Their 2021 release, Today We’re The Greatest, won the Aria Award for Best Rock Album.
Matt Corby and Middle Kids will perform on Saturday November 16.
This experience is planned to become an ongoing event. After taking over the Royal Botanic Gardens for two weekends in November, the concert will return for another series in March next year.
