Ice cream is a top-tier dessert, but it is a little tricky to enjoy during winter. One pop-up experience is set to change that. Get ready to try Melbourne’s Hottest Ice Cream, a spicy treat by local celebrity chef and MasterChef finalist Sarah Todd. This ice cream is available for a very limited time. Try it for free on the State Library forecourt on Friday July 14 and Saturday July 15.
Melbourne’s Hottest Ice Cream
This tasty ice cream is sure to tingle your taste buds. Inspired by Todd’s passion for Indian cuisine, you can look forward to an Aloo Gobi savoury soft serve, topped with local ingredients like Davidson plum and saltbush.
“Melbourne’s Hottest Ice Cream is the perfect encapsulation of all the things we love about Melbourne – from our diverse food scene to the unexpected and unique experiences that happen every day in the city,” said Sarah Todd.
The pop-up is a part of the City of Melbourne’s ‘Only in the City’ campaign, which is designed to attract more people to the CBD.
“With our new Now or Never festival around the corner and the Queen Victoria Market Winter Night Market drawing record crowds, Melbourne’s Hottest Ice Cream is just one of so many events and activations Melburnians can experience this winter,” said Lord Mayor Sally Capp.
Wander over to the forecourt of State Library Victoria, and grab your free treat between 12pm and 5pm. Find more details here.
