Healesville is about to light up for an exciting, midwinter celebration. At Nocturne: Healesville After Dark, venues along the main street and surrounding area will stay open late, offering winter specials, in-store activations and cosy tastings. Expect glühwein, raclette over an open fire, live music, lantern making and more! This will take place on Friday, July 24, from 4pm to 8pm.

Nocturne: Healesville After Dark
Kick off your weekend with style by wandering along the main street and soaking in the atmosphere of this midwinter gathering. Follow the sound of live music, and feel the warmth of roaring fires as the town comes alive after dark.
Four Pillars Distillery, Cavanagh’s Whisky & Alehouse and Herd Bar & Grill will be serving up cocktails to keep you warm, such as hot toddies. And around town, you’ll find venues showcasing wine from the Yarra Valley. Barrique Wine Store, for example, will have negroni on tap, free wine tastings from Serrat Wines, as well as a live DJ and Frosty’s Food Truck.

What kind of food and drink can you expect? Think:
- Soups, dumplings, chestnuts and wine from Payten & Jones at My Little Kitchen
- Fondue and sparkling wine at Cheesemonger Sophie
- Birria tacos, hot buttered rum and wine from Giant Steps at Peachy
- Glühwein and German fried potatoes at Gewürzhaus
- Raclette over an open fire and toasted marshmallows at Jayden Ong Winery & Cellar Bar
- Truffle fries and wine pairing, as well as free toasted marshmallows over the firepit at Monroe’s
- Hot crumbles, puddings and drinks at Nature’s Cakes
- Curries and mac & cheese from Kitchen & Butcher
- Spiced apple cider, hot chocolate, bratwurst, face painting and live music in the garden at Healesville Hotel
- Sausage sizzles from Healesville CFA and Robyn Jane Children’s Centre
- and more!

Beyond the food and drink, there will be lots of fun things to see and do, such as decorating your own paper lantern at Whimsical Creatives, taking part in crafts at Healesville Library or seeing a live pop-up arts experience from Yarra Valley Arts. There will also be live painting by Amanda Ruck at Verso Books, as well as by Cindy’s Studio at Main Street Pilates.
Pop into the shops for seasonal specials on items like candles, lollies, books, jewellery, and more.
Collect a stamp with every purchase from a participating business to enter the community raffle. Prizes donated by local traders will be drawn on the night.
