
An exciting new cinema destination is now open Moonee Ponds. Nestled within the Penny Lane development on Puckle Street, you’ll find an entertainment hub filled with 11 traditional screens as well as a delightful rooftop cinema. Palace Penny Lane Cinema has officially opened, just in time for Christmas, and you can look forward to a season of summer blockbusters and arthouse films.

This new entertainment venue is run by Palace Cinemas, the same team behind the Astor Theatre, Pentridge Cinema and The Kino. At Palace Penny Lane Cinema, you’ll find a combination of modern luxury and retro glamour. Enjoy premium features like fully-reclining leather chairs and state-of-the-art 4K laser projection. You’ll also find an excusive menu with a carefully crafted wine selection, including Palace Cinemas’ signature double-feature pours.
The cinema is open just in time for Boxing Day, which is the most anticipated cinema day of the year. Look forward to screenings of Poor Things featuring Emma Stone, the romantic comedy Anyone But You, Taika Waititi’s Next Goal Wins, holiday comedy Two Tickets to Greece, Sir Anthony Hopkins in One Life and drama May/December starring Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman. Families can check out Disney’s Wish, and Migration by Illumination.
The Penny Lane retail centre is only 6.5km away from Melbourne CBD. The cinema is easily accessible with tram, train and bus services. However, if you drive in, you can also enjoy complimentary three-hour parking with ticket validation. Near the cinema, you’ll also find the newly opened Brunetti Classico, so you can swing by after a movie for a sweet treat.
