Cherry blossom season might be over, but that just means cherry picking season is right around the corner. And to celebrate, CherryHill Orchards is hosting an incredible food festival to showcase the wonders of the Yarra Valley, as well as kick off the cherry-picking season. Journey to their orchard in Coldstream and find plenty of gourmet food and wine from local growers and producers. There will also be market stalls and fun activities for the whole family. The new Road to Food Discovery Festival will take place on Saturday November 9.
Road to Food Discovery Festival
Hosted together with Warburton Valley CEDA, this event will feature plenty of incredible producers around the Yarra Valley, such as Rayner’s Orchard, Millgrove Dairy, Siva Coffee, Yarra Valley Gourmet Food and Cookie Grove Ice Creamery. Try savoury dishes and sweet treats made from locally sourced ingredients, and sip your way through some wine tastings from Yarra Valley wineries.
Stay busy with a scone-making masterclass by Mary Eats Cake, a regional produce cooking demonstration from Balgownie Estate and a jam-making masterclass from Rayner’s Orchard. Balgownie Wines and Cuvee Chocolate will also team up for a wine and chocolate pairing experience.
Swing by the market stalls for handmade creations and specialty products from regional artisans.
Then, cool off with some cherry ice cream and refreshing beverages from CherryHill Orchards. You’ll also find fresh boxed cherries in their retail store.
Entry to the festival is just $5 for grown ups, and kids can enter for free.
