Spend a cosy autumn evening sipping on a brew or two at Melbourne Zoo. They’re keeping the zoo open after-hours to host their first ever beer and spirits festival. At Roar and Pour, you’ll enjoy tastings from local and interstate breweries and distilleries, and explore the zoo after dark. This event will take place on Friday March 21 and Saturday March 22. The festivities will run from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.
Roar and Pour at Melbourne Zoo
Grab a drink from one of the vendors and relax on the lawn at this fun new festival. All adult tickets include a special tasting cup, and access to free tastings from producers across the lawns. If you’d like to indulge a little further, selected drinks such as beer, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from the zoo bars. There will also be a Coffee for Wildlife drinks pop-up, selling exclusive espresso martinis. If you get hungry, you’ll find tasty street food from various food outlets, such as the Rail Gate Cafe.

More fun stuff
Wander along the trails and see the animals after hours. Throughout the night, there will also be awesome animal talks. Learn about the lemurs at 6pm, the giraffes at 6:20pm and the lions at 6:50pm.
Children are welcome to come along, and there are activities for all ages, including carousel rides, lawn games, a silent disco, live acoustic music and airbrush tattoos.
Tickets for adults aged 18 and above are $52.05, or $47.05 if you’re an adult Zoo Member. Children aged 17 and under can enter for free.
