You might have heard of and yearned for Tasmania’s toasty sauna boat experience. Well, it’s drifted into Melbourne, and brought plenty of relaxation to Docklands. In this floating sauna experience, you’ll get to warm up in a timber-lined sauna, then plunge into ice baths on the deck of a custom-built boat. Sauna Boat Melbourne is currently open on Saturdays and Sundays, from 7am to 7pm. Bookings are essential.

Sauna Boat Melbourne
This tranquil experience is the second build from founder Daniel Bush, who designed and handcrafted the original boat in Tasmania, and this upcoming vessel in Melbourne.
“In the rush of everyday life, we often forget to slow down,” said Bush. “Sauna Boat Melbourne invites you to do just that – sweat, plunge, breathe. It’s wellness made simple, on the water, in the heart of it all.”

Find the boat floating in a quiet part of the harbour, just minutes away from the CBD. Experience hot and cold therapy by retreating into the warm sauna, then dipping into the ice baths. There’s two tubs available, so you can opt for a chilly 10°C plunge, or a gentler dip into 14°C waters. Meanwhile, the electric sauna keeps you nice and toasty at around 80°C. As you feel your troubles melt away, take in sweeping views of the surrounding water and the city skyline.
Sessions are available for private groups or small shared bookings, so you’re welcome to come by yourself or with friends and loved ones.
Sauna Boat Melbourne is available for visits all year round, so you can unwind and relax with the shifting seasons.
