Winter is coming, and with it, a flurry of seasonal events, like Lightscape, RISING and a fondue chalet. And if you love a good winter market, there’s one taking over the Tram Cafe in Melbourne CBD. Treat yourself to cheap eats with dishes for just $12, and stick around for local makers, live music and more. The Winter Market will run from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, June 4. Entry is free!
Winter Market at the Tram Cafe
This cheery night market is organised and run by event management studients at William Angliss Institute. Swing by the Tram Cafe for yummy dishes like woodfire pizza, brisket rolls, satay skewers, dumplings and curry served on a bay leaf. All of the dishes will be just $12. Listen to live music in the courtyard while you eat.
While you’re there, browse through the stalls and discover goods from local makers, such as jewellery, candles, crystals, lunchboxes and more. There’s also prizes to be won on the night.
Entry to the festival is free, and all proceeds will go towards Foodbank Victoria, to help support those who are doing it tough. For every $1 donated, Foodbank can provide two meals for those experiencing food insecurity.
