We Can’t Wait For Our Breath To Stink At Welcome To Thornbury’s Garlic Bread Festival

The humble side dish is getting an entire day for itself!

The Garlic Bread Festival will be the first festival of 2021 for Welcome To Thornbury, the former car manufacturing factory turned permanent bar and food truck park. (Featured image: @waldemarbrandt67w)

It’s not the first time Welcome To Thornbury has thrown a Garlic Bread Festival and we hope it won’t be the last because there’s just something special about bread that’s been covered with buttery garlic, parmesan and finely-chopped parsley. Obviously, we’re not alone if this special day is making a comeback.

The bar that sits on the Northcote-Thornbury divide promises garlic bread burgers, garlic bread gozleme and fancy garlic bread among the offerings with the full-lineup of providers still on the down-low. However, you will also be able to get the classic garlic bread because it is what started it all. And what started it all is still the best.

The festival kicks off at 12pm on Saturday 10 April and kicks on till late. Children are welcome until 8pm and dogs, as always, are free to stay all night long.

The current food truck line-up at Welcome To Thornbury sees Mr Burger parked all week while Belle’s Hot Chicken and Sparrow’s are on-site from Wednesday to Sunday.
