Six years after international flights were grounded due to the pandemic, travellers will once again be able to travel overseas from Avalon Airport. This airport between Melbourne and Geelong will run international Jetstar flights to Bali from March 2026. Jetstar will also restart their domestic route to Adelaide and increase their flights to Brisbane.

International flights from Avalon Airport
From March 23, 2026, Jetstar will run five return flights a week between Avalon and Bali (Denpasar). This will add over 120,000 seats a year towards this popular holiday destination. The flight is just over six hours long, so travellers will be relaxing on the beach in no time.
Meanwhile, there will be up to seven return flights between Avalon and Adelaide, and up to five extra weekly flights to Brisbane.
Avalon Airport will receive major upgrades in preparation for these flights, including 1,000 new seats across the international and domestic terminals, upgrades to runway lighting, security equipment and an additional 500 spaces in the car park.
There will also be a new bus route between Lara Station and the airport in the coming months. Route 18 will be the first public bus service for Avalon, and will run on a daily basis.
