Rebuild, recover, and prepare our live music venues.
Victoria’s $1.7 billion music industry will receive grants totalling more than $13 million, which for now have been given to more than 100 music venues to support jobs on stage and behind the scenes as well as new planning controls to better protect venues.
The grants have also helped venues cover urgent overheads and are intended to offset the damage done by patron caps while the state navigates its way through the roadmap and out of lockdown. A second round of grants has been planned to further inject money into the economy and prevent losing Melbourne’s world-class live-music scene.
Premier Dan Andrews has said that ”Victoria has always been the live music capital of Australia” and he intends it to remain that way.
In no particular order, these are all the venues getting dollars from the Vic Government’s Live Music Venue Grants. Show them some love on their socials and let them know you’re keen to get back to gigs and live music.
