Warm Up With A Tasty Hot Chocolate Festival This August

Escape the cold of winter with a nice cup of hot chocolate.

The excellent chocolatiers behind Yarra Valley Chocolaterie, Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie and Mornington Peninsula Chocolaterie are keeping our spirits up with a delightful hot chocolate festival this August. Expect 31 flavours across the 31 days of August.

Hot Chocolate Festival

If these chocolateries sound familiar, it’s because they threw us a fabulous brownie festival in June.

Now, they’ve created 31 new delicious and decadent flavours for you to indulge in. All flavours feature their milk, dark, white, ruby or caramelised white couverture chocolate, with a giant marshmallow and an extra chocolate shot. There will also be interactive elements, such as exploding truffles or dunking cronuts!

Each week in August, they will present a revolving menu of eight different flavours to try everyday in their cafĂ© or outdoor kiosk. Expect flavours like an adults only Snickertini, Tim Tam Caramel Bomb, and a super fun Frogs in a Pond – a green mint chocolate sphere with tiny chocolate frogs that melt into your dark hot chocolate. There are also creations that are perfect for kids, with names like Finding Nemo, Lady Bug and Minion Madness.

During the festival, there will also be hot chocolate tasting sessions. In a 45 minute, hands-on session, you’ll sip and sample eight delicious flavours. On top of that, you’ll get to choose from over 50 different ingredients to make personalised hot chocolates at home. Make three of your own “hot chocolate spoons”, take them home, add hot milk and voila! Your own decadent hot chocolate, suited to your taste. Bookings are essential for these tasting sessions. Each session is $24 per person.

Can’t make it to any of their three locations? No worries! There will also be DIY kits for you to order online and try at home.
