Victoria is filled with plenty of spectacular waterfalls, such as Trentham Falls, Steavenson Falls and Masons Falls. And if you’d like to combine your visit with a lovely stroll through the forest, there’s plenty of those too, such as the Toorongo and Amphitheatre Falls Loop Walk. And there’s one particular walk that’s tried and true, with visitors all the way back to the early 20th century. The next time you’re in the High Country, spend an afternoon cooling off at Ladies Bath and Eurobin Falls. Located in Mount Buffalo National Park, 15 minutes away from Bright, this stunning trail is packed with shady trees, crystal-clear waters and even a dramatic granite cliff.

Ladies Bath
These falls are located just past the entrance to Mount Buffalo National Park, and acts as a great pit stop to other scenic sights like The Horn. During the 1930s and 1940s, travellers would separate and refresh themselves after a long journey from Melbourne to Mount Buffalo Chalet. As you can guess from the name, the women would go to Ladies Bath, and dip their toes in the invigorating water.
The path to Ladies Bath is quite easy, and is just a ten minute walk away from the car park. Wind your way under Manna Gum and Narrowleaf Peppermint trees and past lush ferns. As you go, you’ll soon hear the tumble of the nearby falls. Encounter a tiny footbridge over the babbling creek, where you can pause and watch the waters of Crystal Brook cascade down into a clear granite pool. Move off the bridge and around the corner, where you can reach the pool and go for a dip. But be warned – the water is freezing!
If you are cooling off in the water, just be mindful of all the rocks, as they’re quite slippery. Water shoes are recommended.
Eurobin Falls
If you’d like to keep the adventure going, you can continue on to see Eurobin Falls. It’s a steep climb with plenty of steps and uneven footing, but the view is worth it. Watch as the water plunges about 200 metres over a granite escarpment. There is a lower platform for you to pause and admire the falls, as well as an upper platform, where you can take in the scale of the drop. The walk to and from Eurobin Falls is about 1.5km, and takes roughly 45 minutes to complete. Unlike Ladies Bath, you’ll want to stay on the path for this one, as the slippery rocks can be lethal.

Like all waterfalls, the flow for Ladies Bath and Eurobin Falls is best after rainfall. Spring is also a great time to see it, due to the melting snow. Keep an eye on Parks Victoria for any updates such as closures.
When you’re done, stick around Mount Buffalo for more cool walks, or go camping next to Lake Catani. Or, explore some nearby towns such as Bright or Mount Beauty.
