Melbourne is packed with wellness sanctuaries, such as SOAK Bathhouse in South Yarra, EQ in South Melbourne, Wellness Social Club in Preston and THERAPY in Eltham. And coworking space The Commons has joined in on the excitement, launching their first Health Club in Richmond late last year. And now, they’re setting up a second venue in South Yarra. Set to become the largest social wellness club in Melbourne’s inner city, this space stretches across over 5,000 square metres. Five levels will be dedicated to fitness and wellness, and three levels will offer a workspace. In the Health Club, you’ll find a bathhouse, a gym, studios offering over 200 classes a week, a spin studio and more! The Commons Health Club will open in South Yarra on Saturday, March 28.

After a hard day’s work, slip into the Bathhouse, and unwind in 36°C and 39°C magnesium baths. Mix it up with a bit of hot and cool therapy, and dip into the 6°C cold plunge. You’ll also find a traditional sauna, a steam room and heated stone benches. Signature experiences include candlelit magnesium soaks, and community-led bathhouse sessions, where you’ll be guided through the space and make new connections.

As for the classes, you can try out a range of options, like reformer Pilates, hot mat Pilates, yoga, spin, and strength and functional fitness. You can also try sound healing, breathwork, aerobics, dance, candlelit yin, Yamuna body rolling and rebounding.
If you’d prefer to do your own thing, pop into the expansive gym. Personal training is also available as an add-on.
For more treatments, take part in red light therapy, lymphatic compression or an infrared sauna.

After all that, feel refreshed with one of four unisex scents from the seasonal fragrance bar. You’ll also find Dyson and GHD styling stations and Kevin Murphy hair care in the bathrooms.
Then, fuel up with a coffee, a smoothie or a bite to eat from the street-front cafe.
